As Chinese troops crossed and routed Indian border post in North East in 1962 war, President Kennedy began responding to Nehru's startling request for military equipment. He sounded Pakistan not try to fish in troubled waters by contemplating indirect support to China in opening another front with India on her western border. Ayub Khan responded that such a commitment was contingent upon a just solution of Kashmir issue. Pakistan always hinged Indo-Pak relations to Kashmir.

It was believed that the Muslims have joined militant out fits for the sake of 'Jihad' but now Hindu Youth are also joining them in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a 'million dollar' question to answer. It is said that they either join for monetary benefits or to safe guard their community from militant strikes. But majority of the Hindus are of the view that they actually belong to a criminal lot. "It is not yet known for what they are exactly joining them" says a local Hindu of Doda.

What is the meaning and usefulness of Pakistani British community's support to the Labor Party or Prime Minister Tony Blair who never misses any opportunity to equate Kashmiri political struggle with terrorism. Although it was the government of this country in 1947 which first encouraged India to annex Jammu and Kashmir with the force of her army and later gave unqualified support to a UN sponsored plebiscite in Kashmir.

NEW YORK - With upraised right hand and left hand on the Bible, each of our presidents, from George Washington to George W. Bush, has solemnly sworn to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution of the United States. The American Bar Association claims President Bush has violated that oath by issuing hundreds of "signing statements" to disregard selected provisions of the laws that Congress passed and he signed.
