| Jammu and Kashmir Council for Human Rights (JKCHR) has urged the United Nations, European Union and the world community to take on board the unemployed working age youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
At a meeting on International Youth Day, at its Head Office today, London based NGO has asked the world community to revisit its obligations towards the people of Kashmir and more so towards an untapped work force comprising of educated employable, educated unemployable and uneducated unemployable at a time when the world is hit by economic meltdown and climate change.
Dr. Syed Nazir Gilani, Secretary General JKCHR has said that the youth of Kashmir have suffered due to the over politicisation of life and a total absence of support to young people in their career development. The youth are an insurance of a prosperous future and they have to lead the way for a better tomorrow.
JKCHR has asked the three administrations of Jammu and Kashmir and India and Pakistan to create a separate Ministry and float a separate budget for the development and work engagement of youth in the sustainable development process in the territories under their respective control. ENDS |
